Kern County CA Inmate Search
The Kern County CA Inmate Search is an online tool that allows you to view inmates currently incarcerated at the Kern County Jail. It provides information on current inmates including arresting agency, booking date, court case number, criminal case number, bail amount, charges, and anticipated release date.
Using the jail roster to find an inmate is an easy and efficient way of finding an incarcerated loved one. However, be aware that some inmates may falsify their name or other personal information to evade public records.
Arrest Records
In Kern County CA, a number of government agencies are required to record criminal history information on all people incarcerated in their jails. These records can be searched online by first and last name, DOB, and gender. They can also show visitation and contact information, and commissary program policies.
Often, mugshots are included in criminal history files as well. These images are taken during a police stop, and usually include the full-face and profile views of the subject. They are used by police and Sheriff's offices to identify suspects in the community, and in cases where an arrest warrant has been issued for a person that does not show up in court.
If you have a concern that someone may be using your name to commit crimes, you can get a "Not Same As" letter at the county's Arrest Records unit. The unit will capture your fingerprints, and compare them to those of the person you are concerned about. The department will then document the results in a letter to you.
The Kern County Superior Court maintains records for all cases that have been filed in the county. The public is allowed to access these records, and they can be requested in person or online.
These records can be requested by visiting the Superior Court office in Bakersfield or by using the website to make the request. You can find the court’s address, hours of operation, and more on their website.
You can also request a search for property records in Kern County. These records are kept by the county's assessor-recorder, and they are accessible to the public under California state law.
When you're requesting a property record, you will need to provide the county’s assessor-recorder with your name and address. You'll also need to provide the name and Parcel Number of the property you are seeking.
The California Public Records Act allows for all documents created by the government to be accessed by the public. This includes property records, and the Kern County Assessor-Recorder keeps a database of these documents.
In addition to property records, the Kern County Sheriff's Department also has a forensic lab that performs DNA tests on individuals who have been arrested. This service is available to the public for a fee.
Jail Roster
The Kern County CA Jail Roster contains inmate information for those incarcerated at the local jails. It can be used by visitors to find a particular inmate or by law enforcement agencies to identify inmates who may have been arrested. It can also be used to locate an inmate who is being held in a different facility.
If you're looking for a particular inmate, you can search the jail roster online to find out where they are being held and whether they are currently serving their sentence or are awaiting trial. This search will include all the available information on the inmate, including their full name, inmate number, date of birth, arrest record, current location, next court hearing date and other details about them.
A person's criminal history is a vital piece of their overall identity and can affect the decisions that they make throughout their life. This is why the State of California requires local and federal law enforcement agencies to document statewide and inmate criminal records for all prisoners in the system.
There are several ways that you can access a jail's public inmate search information, and most of them are free. You can start by searching for the inmate's name and last name, or you can use the inmate's number to locate them more quickly.
The jail's website provides a range of inmate information, such as an inmate's date of birth, inmate number, arrest information, total bail amount and the next hearing date. This information can help you determine if the inmate is likely to be released soon and to determine if they are being held at a different facility.
This database is updated on a regular basis and includes information about the inmates who are currently being held at the jail. It includes their inmate number, arrest information and time, total bail amount, next hearing date and anticipated release date, and booking information.
A jail's inmate roster is an important part of a person's overall criminal history and should be treated with respect. You should not try to visit the jail or look up an inmate's record without first verifying that they are actually there and if so, why they are being held there.
Visitation Schedule
Visitation in Kern County CA is a privilege that is not guaranteed and can be cancelled at the discretion of authorities. For this reason, visitors must make arrangements to visit in advance of their appointment by contacting the facility and requesting an approval.
Authorized visitors include parents, legal guardians, stepparents, grandparents (if case relevant), and persons standing in loco parentis. A current form of identification is required at the time of visitation. A driver's license, ID card, passport, U.S. Government, military ID, or permanent resident card are accepted.
Visiting hours are Tuesday through Sunday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. You can also schedule a visit online here. Inmates are allowed one 60-minute visit or two 30-minute visits per week, and visitors may bring children up to 14 years old for the visit.
Youth are entitled to initial visits within two days of booking. These visits will be scheduled between 3:30 pm and 8:30 pm, and are limited to 30 minutes.
Special visits are also available for family illness, death or other circumstances. They are coordinated with the Deputy Probation Officer and Duty Supervisor.
Inmates are also permitted to have one phone call a day to their loved ones. However, only the individuals whose names are on the inmate's approved list will be given access to these calls.
The Sheriff's office maintains an online database for all inmates currently detained at their facilities, and it offers information on the offender's name, inmate number, date of birth, arrest data and time, total bail amount, next hearing date, anticipated release date, and booking information. The information is updated regularly to reflect the actual incarceration status, but some inmates may falsify their personal information.
Inmates at the Central Receiving Facility can receive packages and letters that have been shipped from outside of the prison. The policy varies by inmate, but in general, inmates can receive legal mail, subscriptions or books sent from third parties such as Amazon. To find out more about the inmate's mail policies, and what can be sent, check out our Inmate Mail page.
Bond Information
Getting out of jail and back to normal life is a top priority for many people who are arrested in Kern County. One way to do this is to secure a bail bond from a local bondsman. Bail bonds are a type of surety bond that can be paid in cash or by using property.
The amount of money that is needed to post a bond depends on the charge for which the person is being held and the bond amount set by the court. A bondsman will typically require a 10% non-refundable fee to process the bond, which is called the premium.
Bail bonds can be a great way to get a loved one out of jail until they can appear in court for a hearing or trial. This can be a frustrating time for everyone, but with help from a bail bondsman, you can get a loved one out of jail and back to normal living while waiting for their trial.
To pay a bond, you can use a cashier's check or money order made out to the Kern County Central Receiving Facility where the defendant is being held. You can also make a payment in person to the court where the bail hearing was held.
Another option is to send a money order or bank/certified check directly to the inmate's commissary account, which is a common method of paying for things like clothing and toiletries. This money can be sent to the inmate's mailing address listed below.
You can also mail personal and legal letters to the inmate at the jail's address. However, these must be opened by staff at the jail. It is also possible to send items to the inmate from a third-party source, but these can be expensive to ship and may be confiscated by jail staff.
